Siddharth Ray Biography

Siddharth Ray is an Indian actor. He is primarily known for his work in Hindi and Marathi industry. Born on 19 July 1963, he completed his studies from Mumbai, Maharashtra. The actor rose to fame for his work in movies like Vansh (1992), Parwane (1993), Baazigar (1993), and Pehchaan (1993). His performance in Baazigar along with actor Shahrukh Khan was loved by the audience and critics, giving him immense popularity and fame. Other than Hindi industry, he has been part of Marathi industry as well where he has worked with top Marathi actors including Laxmikant Berde, Ashok Saraf and Sachin. In 2004, the actor died of a massive heart attack, leaving his acting, name, fame and popularity behind him.

Coming from a family with filmy background, he was destined to make his career in the acting field. In 1977, he made his acting debut with movie “Channi” as a child artist. Then in 1980, he made his debut as an adult with movie “Thodisi Bewafaii”. Post that, he appeared in several movies including Vansh, Parwane, Baazigar, Pehchaan, etc. Out of which, he was highly praised for his role in movie Baazigar opposite Shahrukh Khan and Kajol. Other than Hindi movies, he was a known face of Marathi industry as well. He was popular as Sushant Ray in Marathi industry and was known for his work in movie “Ashi Hi Banwa Banwi”. The actor was going good in his career but unfortunately died of heart attack on 16 March 2004.
