Krunal Pandya is an Indian International cricketer. He is primarily known as left hand batsman and a slow left-arm orthodox bowler. Born on 24 March 1991, he did his schooling from MK High School in Bandra. He made his first class debut playing for Baroda during 2016-17 Ranji Trophy tournament on 6 October 2016. And within few months, he became the leading run scorer & wicket taker for Baroda in 2016-17 Vijay Hazare Trophy. Soon he became popular in the local cricketing circles for his ability to hit big sixes which helped him to get placed in Indian International cricket team. His father ran a small car finance business in Surat. Later, he chose to shut down his business and moved to Vadodara when Krunal was 7 years old. He enrolled his sons into Kiran More’s cricket academy in Vadodara. Financially weak, the Pandya family used to live in a rented apartment in Gorwa. They used a second-hand car to travel to the cricket ground. However, with his hard work and patience, Krunal made his parents proud by being one of the talented cricketers of team India.

He is married to his long time girlfriend Pankhuri Sharma. Pankhuri is a marketing executive in board of films by profession. Her father is a Mumbai based businessmen. He made his cricket debut in 2013 playing for Baroda in lean domestic T20 Match against Bengal in Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy. Post that, he kick started his debut in List A against Gujarat during Vijay Hazare Trophy in 2014. In no time, he became popular in the local cricketing circles for his stunning performance and got the chance to play in IPL for team Mumbai Indians in 2016.
